Did slaves build the Great Pyramid at Giza?
I love this LP from SHEG! It’s so complete. Although I am not teaching Geography this year - I've passed this along to two other teachers who are. This package includes: Slides (PowerPoint), graphic organizers, essential readings and it highlights vocabulary terms. One of the readings discusses the interpretation of graffiti found at various sites - and what evidence that might provide. In the end, as a summative exercise, it asks students to: “Write a paragraph that addresses the question: Did slaves build the Great Pyramid at Giza? Make sure to discuss evidence from at least two of the documents to support your claim.” It’s both comprehensive and fun.
